Challenge

Interactive concerts have been delighting visitors of all ages for years. The company, which organizes events across various genres (from music to esports), sought to complement and enhance the visitor experience by enabling them to control the lights during the show. The following goals were set:

Solution

Cogniteq developed an app with a clean, intuitive interface focusing on user-friendly controls. We have developed a native application to ensure excellent compatibility and fast connection.
Whether for concerts, esports events, or performances, the app transforms how light interacts with its surroundings, delivering dynamic, real-time light control.
The app is compatible with the following wearable devices:
- Hand-held LED flashlights;
- Smart LED wristbands;
- Necklaces, badges, or pins with integrated LEDs;
- Props like wands, swords, or flags with integrated lighting for esports intros or dance performances.
Custom color playlist creation
Users can create and manage custom playlists for light sequences. Predefined playlists (e.g., Solid Colors, Fade, Strobe, and Ribbon) create custom light patterns or effects.
Wide color selection
A full-spectrum RGB color wheel (16.7 million colors) allows you to create any hue within a 24-bit color range (8 bits each for red, green, and blue). You can set the intensity of the light using a brightness control slider and adjust the color temperature (cool to warm) of the selected colors.
Easy-to-understand device management
The application provides an easy-to-understand UI that shows a list of all connected flashlight devices with status indicators (e.g. connected/disconnected and battery percentage). Toggle buttons are available to turn individual devices on or off.
Real-time connection
The app supports up to 7–10 connected devices per smartphone simultaneously. BLE supports a range of up to 20–30 meters in open spaces. Indoors, this may be reduced to around 10–15 meters depending on obstructions like walls or furniture.
Various control options
The app supports group functionality to synchronize multiple devices. Users control light sequences with play, stop, and skip buttons. Created playlists can be shuffled and repeated.
